Too much sleep?

DD is 8 months. She usually falls asleep at 10(we were working on moving up her bed time) wakes up around 8, takes a brief morning nap around ten, for like a half hour while she nurses... Takes a nap around one for an hour. And then one at 4 for an hour and then would be up until bedtime. Last week we were super busy and doing lots of fun stuff outside the house and by the end of the week she was goin to bed at 9, waking up at 8 and taking a two to three hour nap around 3. I was so excited that she was getting on more of a toddler schedule. And then yesterday she didn't nap really at all until 7 when she and SO fell asleep together on the couch, and she stayed asleep, except to nurse until 8:30, was up until 11 and has now been napping for two hours. That's a lot of sleep, right? Should I just assume growth spurt?

She was probably super overtired. My son is 8 months too and his schedule is bed at 8, up at 8, nap 10-12, sometimes until 1, nap at 3 until 4-4:30. Anything less than a 45 minute nap is not restful sleep for a baby. If I were you I would try and get him in bed earlier and work on two longer naps during the day.

Oh boo now I feel awful for her! Thanks! It's tough because she likes to use me as a binky, and as soon as I need to get up she'll wake up, and I hate putting her down for naps over and over again because I feel like I'm forcing her to sleep more than she wants/needs. I'll keep in mind that she needs it though
