Wedding.

SO and I have been talking about our wedding. We don't plan on getting married for another year or so. but we want to start saving up money.
We don't want anything huge.. just for close family and friends.
Maybe 50-70 people would attend.

How much did your wedding cost, how many people were there.. etc ?

We only had 60 people, it was all close family and friends. I wouldn't have had it any other way! I think the weddings with like 200+ people is insane.

We spent 25k after everything

We had an intimate wedding with only close family and friends, about 40 people, and we only spent about 5-6k on everything.

We had a wedding with 130 guests. We spent around 33k

I haven't added up everything but ours which will be next monday is costing somewhere between 2-3k. We're just having his parents (mine are out of the province and can't come) his aunt (to take pictures) our youngest (other 2 are in school that day) and probably his sister and her fiance. Other than the very small ceremony we are having a date night just me and him later that evening but I'm not counting the cost for that because we have a gift certificate that he won so it'll be free!

We are getting married in the wedding chapel that's at the city hall here. It was pretty much the simplest and cheapest way we could do it.

Mine cost around 3000... the biggest bill was catering. I had about 60 or 70 guests.

I got married in a chapel in Reno. It was great! They set everything up for us. All the decorations, the minister was awesome, and it was very cheap. I'd highly recomend going that route if you can. Here is a pic
