anxiety after abortion

lately I have been suffering from anxiety attacks, mood swings and insecurities. so bad that I have been feeling extremely paranoid about anything and everyone. I constantly think my boyfriend js cheating on me (though he is with me every day and night), I had a complete breakdown thinking about dying, I freak out thinking my friends are going to replace me.

I couldn't figure it out until I started doing some research. you are 68% more likely to develop anxiety, depression and other mental problems after an abortion. so now I'm going to make an appointment with a therapist. I cannot live my life in fear all the time. that's how I always feel...I'm scared of everything.

has anyone else noticed an increase in anxiety or depression since their abortion?

I'm sorry you're going through this, but I do commend you for wanting to get help for it. That is definitely a huge step in the right direction.

I experineced anxiety afterwards for a little bit.

It's great that you're going to get help for this. I have experienced anxiety and mood-swings after my abortion for up to a year afterwards. My body was going through extremem hormonal shifts and I was having trouble trusting my boyfriend and doing things I wouldn't dream of doing. I've been in therapy now for over a year and it's been helping me out. I've calmed down, I trust my boyfriend and I am no longer paranoid.

It will be 3 years since my abortion this year and no I've never experienced anything like that, I've been absolutely fine and not a bit depressed about it so I don't really have any personal advice for you but I would recommend you seek some therapy and good luck with how you're feeling!

I've been battling severe anxiety since my abortion. I had it to begin with but the abortion made it 100000 times worse. I deal with it in my own way, some days, weeks, months are better than others, some are worse.
