In the morning, do you...

posted 11th Mar
Get your toddler out of bed as soon as they wake up?
Or do they stay in there for a bit? If they're still in a crib, I mean.

DD wakes up but she's all happy and plays with her stuffed animals so I never rush to get her   Pretty sure I did the same thing with DS.

Does that make me a jerk?

I mean, I'm not really trying to do anything
Well, I am drinking my coffee. That's something.

Definitely not. I do the same thing with oldest and hes 4. He usually will knock on the wall and say hes hungry or has to go potty so maybe half hour or 40 minutes tops he'll stay there playing and happy.

I do the same thing. I'm not a morning person so if she's not crying I lay in bed and slowly wake up. I'm so crabby on the mornings that she wants out right away and I have to jump out of bed right away.

Yeah DD will be in a toddler bed by the end of this week, we've just been procrastinating putting it up. And then I think she'll probably wake up and play for a while, she likes her alone time

Wow, you're an smurf   :lol;

When DD does sleep in her crib, I only get her right away if she's crying. Usually she lays there and talks for a while and I leave her.

I do the same thing.. If he is happy then he doesn't need out if Im busy.. Or on the weekends, we usually don't even wake up if he is just singing and what not. He starts yelling Mama or Dada when he wants out, very rarely do we sleep through that, if we do he will start crying.

Ugh. You guys are lucky! DS is 14 months old and always wakes up crying. I wonder if its because he has room darkening shades. We use them bc his room is directly across the other apartment building and they have a super bright front light that shines in his window. So it's either bright room at night, or dark room in the morning. I think the dark scares him when he wakes up.

She just bounces up and down and talks to her toys.
Who am I to rob her of that joy? I'd be robbing both of us of our quiet time

aw, maybe

DD is a little older, she'll be 2 in May. She didn't always get up and play, she used to fuss right away until she was a bit more independent in her playing, kwim?
