Living in an apartment

posted 11th Mar
If your only choice was to continue living with family (which is going very horribly) or to live in an apartment (a decent one) WWYD??

We're looking into moving into some fairly new apartments, but I'm skeptical because we have never lived in any, just houses.

For now though, a house isn't a possibility.

Do you live in an apartment? Any advice? Input? Suggestions?

I would live in an apartment to get out of my parents house.

My advice, don't live in a three story complex. Stick with two story ones. I live in a three story on the bottom floor and there's so many damn people up and down the stairs at all hours. It'd be much less with only one floor above us.

i would live only in the bottom floor or a corner or outside one tbh. we live in a duplex bottom floor and we never hear our neighbor at all. having kids on a second floor one would be hell bc the bottom floor people will hear everything all their stomping etc and you can be reported over and over for it. i love our duplex though. apartments arnt bad just watch location so you can find the most quiet one without being annoying to others

I grew up in apartments. There's nothing wrong with them. We lived on the bottom floor of one and my mom has a really nice condo that she's on the 4th floor of.

Only issue I can really think of is plumbing. But if you're just renting that's the building's issue.

We know someone who works at this apartment complex and she's going to take off like $120 off of our rent, and take $500 off of the deposit and give us a choice of which area in the complex (if it's available.)

The thing is that there is only 2 bedroom 1 bathroom and it's my husband, me and our 2 daughters.
They already share a bedroom so I don't think it will be that big of a deal.

I've lived in an apt on the 2nd floor and also the bottom floor. If there is an on site sundry I would avoid that. And def. don't recommend an upper level apt if you have kids.

I'd live in an apt again over living with family.

If its a decent size bedroom, they can each have a bed or you could do bunk beds depending on their ages
