facebook question?

All day today I have been getting the facebook prompt to log back in and complete a "security check". I've done it three times in just the past few hours or so. None of my friends or family seem to be having this problem. It keeps saying they have reason to believe I might not be a real person and that I need to read the community standards to find out how to properly play/interact on facebook.

Has this happened to anyone else? I have a sneaking suspicion that someone has been either reporting me or trying to log in under my account all day. I have an idea of who and have blocked her, but is there any way I can message facebook and ask them what's up? Tried to find a link but couldn't.

sounds like hackers to me. change your password and dont answer those pop ups or prompts.

I changed my password. The prompts are actually from facebook, though, I'm sure of that. It's just irritating.  

does it to me on a daily basis as well. None of my friends have had to do it.

hmmmm... Do you post anything reportable or know someone who is just plain crazy? I'm trying to figure out if it's the person I think it is or just some weird randomness. I don't post anything offensive and I dunno what else it might be.

I did randomly get blocked for abusing the "like" button the other day, but that wasn't my fault, my mouse got stuck.   I've been gone most of today, though, so I know it wasn't something like that , either.

In security settings you can make it so that you get a text whenever someone tries to log into your account. You can save devices so that you don't have to constantly wait for the text when you use your own computer.

yeah i have never had to do any of that and i have had facebook for many years.

NP. I used to sign into my fb and it'd say that I needed to verify it's me, which is obviously from someone trying to put in my password too many times. So I put that into place. Hasn't happened since.

I keep getting a message saying my email address isn't valid and that I need to verify it or click on some link if I think I am getting that message out of error. I just keep ignoring it because my email address is valid and its the one I have had and used for the past 5+ years or so
