pregnant with negative home test?

posted 10th Mar
Anyone who has had a negative home pregnancy test, how many days after ovulation was the negative test? Were you having symptoms at that point? Did you ever test positive on a home test or did you have it confirmed with blood test?

I'm on day 50 right now...no period for 50 freakin days. According to my chart I shouldve ovulated (if I really did ovulate, I didnt check temps or anything) around the 21st of last month and we had sex the 22nd. I have incredibly sore breasts, burning and itchy nipples, on and off cramps and groin pain, headaches non stop and am super hormonal. I tested tonight with Answer and it was negative.

Chances are pretty good a test would be positive at this point, right? I had easy positives with all my other kids, so it makes me assume something else is going on. These "symptoms" have come on strong the past 3 days or so though!

If your HCG was below 30 which would come up on an HTP, at this many weeks, I would say you're not pregnant.

I never got a positive home test or a blood test with DS. Only found out I was pregnant by ultrasound!

I don't want to give you false hope, because is rare to not have a pregnancy show up. My guess is maybe you didn't ovulate?

My cycles have been running longer lately...anywhere from 40-45 days. So, really ibe 3-8 days late. However, they have been kind of irregular too (before my son I had 28 day cycles EVERY MONTH). Im really confused and I guess I really just need to go in and be checked. lol.

Try to get a blood test. That is the only way I found out with both my daughters I was pregnant. With my oldest I was 3 months pregnant and still getting negative home pregnancy tests before I went to the doctor for a blood test cause I knew something wasn't right.

Its possible. This is the first time Ive missed a period since having my son...but, I couldve not been ovulating this whole time and I wouldnt know it. We thought about using an ovulation kit last month (we are TTC) but then wanted to just go with it and have fun. But now this! Not sure what to think....I guess Im kind of afraid to have a blood test and either A) not be pregnant and be extremely disappointed or B) have something more serious going on and then I freak out. lol.

How far along were you when you had your ultrasound? And what made you go get one if your home tests were negative?

This happened with 2 of your 3 kids? What about the 3rd child? What kinds of symptoms were you having that made you think, ok time for a blood test? Were your periods regular? Sorry for the 20 questions! haha

With my last I took a home pregnancy test and it came up positive right away. With my oldest I took 3 different home pregnancy test trying to figure out what was going on. I had many symptoms like sore breast, no period, etc. and finally went into the doctor to see what was going on. I was in shock when the blood test came back positive due to the 3 negatives. With my 2nd I had taken 2 pregnancy tests due to same symptoms as my first and feeling sick in the morning. I had actually had a home pregnancy test done in the er to rule pregnancy out when I had a severe panic attack and it was negative. It finally took a blood test from my regular doctors office while they were testing other things to try to figure out why I was having panic attacks that I found out. My periods are completely regular 28 days.

I was 16 weeks when I had my ultrasound. I had been feeling sick all day and night and throwing up a lot. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is being pregnant, right? Well, I tested and tested and tested and after a month of feeling sick with negative tests I went to the doctor. They tested, negative, gave a blood test, nothing showed up, and then started me on meds. Those didn't work, so I tried more meds. After that didn't work my doctor ordered an ultrasound to check my gallbladder.
My general doctor had the same name as an OBGYN at the hospital, so the tech thought I was sent from the OBGYN. It is somewhat common for pregnant women to have issues with their gallbladder, so she decided to be nice and give me a little peak at the baby. Little did she know I had no idea there was a baby to see. And I saw my little guy kicking away. Scared the smurf out of me lol
