Stupid doctor telling us our baby has all the signs of reflux and then diagnoses him with Colic and gives us a sheet with what colic is compared to reflux and he obviously has reflux and then gives him paracetamol which it says do not give colicky babies and tells us to deal with it.

Sounds like you need a new one.

Where we live under 6 year olds are free and you get whatever doctor is free.

Weleda colic powder helped somewhat. Gripe water was smurf.
Is baby breast or bottle fed?

Its obviously Reflux though. Our Plunket nurse diagnosed it and he has all the signs of reflux and not colic.

He is breast fed with top ups because Caitlyns milk is still coming through (at 8weeks)

Can you go somewhere else and see a different doctor?

In all fairness, your doctor went to school to do what he's doing, you are assuming he's wrong based on what you did not go to school for.

Do what he asked and see if it helps. If it doesn't, go back.

Maybe its a interoleramce to something she is eatinglike dairy? it can causw problems in BF babies. She can also take fenugreek to help the supply

I realise its just that 4 other professionals we have seen has said it is reflux and they have gone to school, they dont get prescription pads though. We are trying it but not giving him so much pamol because it will literally kill him.

We are going to a family centre tomorrow and they can diagnose it. We couldnt go there until we had seen a doctor first

You can buy infant gaviscon from chemists and try him with it, see If it helps. It's what a dr would prescribe for reflux

Fenugreek is capsule things. I bought mine from hardys. Health 2000 will also have them, health shops.
You (or mum) could get prescribed domperidone to help boost milk.
Brewers yeast mixed with complan is good for boosting milk too. Make the complan (from supermarket) up as normal, add 1 or 2 tablespoons of brewers yeast (from health shops) ad a banana if you want. Have one serving in the morning and one in the late afternoon 3-4pm. It's disgusting but it works. I used milk instead of water to make the complan because the brewers yeast makes it really strong.
I still have some I think. If you want I can send it to you because it's quite expensive. And mine is just going to go to waste!

Ah ok we shall look for a Health 2000. She has been on domperidone since he was 2ish weeks old and it hasnt done as much as we hoped.
