What do you think?!

posted 10th Mar
Hey everybody! I'm about 33 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child but I have been measuring a month ahead the entire time, I will set up a 2nd sono after my next dr appointment and I guess that'll give us a better idea of how far along I really am. Lately I've been having a lot of pain in my hips and lower back and some slight cramping (not all the time with the cramping) tylenol doesnt help. Any idea what is going on? I've had a few people tell me I look like my belly has dropped so Idk if that has anything to do with it or not..... What do you think??

are they saying you are measuring ahead or do they think you are a month further along , cause if thats the case you are 43 weeks lol

do you have GD as that can make you measure bigger , i was with my first and i had her at 38 weeks
i have it with this one to but they caught it early and she is measuring correct

Sounds like BH contractions.. they gave me the "Crampy" feeling. The measuring isn't completely accurate either. I always measured 4-7 cm behind.

Quoting Im watching you:" are they saying you are measuring ahead or do they think you are a month further along , cause if thats ... [snip!] ... i was with my first and i had her at 38 weeks i have it with this one to but they caught it early and she is measuring correct"

If she's 33 weeks she would be around 37 weeks if she was a month farther along than originally thought?

They said at 20 weeks I was measuring for 24, 24 I was measuring for 28 and so on. It's been 4 weeks ahead consistantly the whole time so that why I'm confused haha.... I did get checked for GD at 28 weeks and I'm assuming I didnt have it cuz they never said anything to me about it..

At your anatomy scan they would have gotten measurements that would average the gestational age of the baby, though sometimes measurements and averages are off. They thought I was a month farther along till my anatomy scan when it was confirmed that the average was what we had originally thought. Though at 16 weeks my measurements, other than baby's since I never got a dating US, were at 20 weeks. By 18 I was measuring 25 weeks. I'm now 24 weeks and five days and my measurements are still farther along though its catching up. Sometimes measurements of the mother really are off, but who knows.

I'm now 34 weeks and have had cramping and a lot of pressure "down there" since around 29 weeks. At a 30 week ultrasound my doctor told me my baby was head down and that's whats causing all of the discomfort. He also told me that my baby is measuring 3 weeks ahead but it only means that my baby is bigger but the lungs and other organs are still developing around my due date time. My doctor just told me I'm going to have a big baby. I had a feeling from the beginning that I would have a big baby because I was 10lbs and so was my SO. My doctor said that big babies can run in the family so if its not from GD then you might just be having a big baby and it can cause more discomfort than normal.

Ultrasounds that late in pregnancy are extremely inaccurate at measuring hpw far along you are. You should stick with whatever was given at your first ultrasound.
