Started pretty much the same with my termie and my preemie. Lots of contractions. Docs called it BH because I was only 23w with my 2nd. Was 4cm with 1DS when they got regular and I was admitted. Was still having irregular contractions with 2DS when I had my bloody show and went in and I was 6cm (docs had said irregular = BH and refused to check my cervix 2 days prior).

I started contracting at 29 weeks they had to stop my labor I was a cm dilated and fully effaced they stopped my labor somewhat till 34 weeks when my water broke got to the hospital I was contracting like crazy and was 4 cm dilated they put me on a pit drip because he was a preemie and they had a NICU team on standby as well as an or tech. They tried stopping my labor 8 times nothing worked.

I thought my contractions were BH. They didn't hurt, just uncomfortable. The only reason I even went to L&D that day was because I drank a smurf ton of water, and try didn't stop.

When I got there, I was 5cm and they tried to stop my labor but my daughters heart beat stopped.

They did an emergency c section 5 mins later

I seriously smurfing love your avi.
Smurfing seriously!!!

Between 5 "early" losses (4,6,9,12, and 15w) and a preemie I also lost, I swear women who complain about normal pregnancy stuff make me positively violent.

I get women with HG or symphysis pubis dysfunction, etc complaining...that's not normal pregnancy stuff, but the rest? Shut up and be happy you don't need a team of docs and a cabinet of medications to keep you pregnant!!!

My labor at 29 weeks was very different from my labora at term or even at 32 and 34 weeks. I wonder if to some extent it does feel different the earlier it is. My 29 week one I barely even noticed till I started leaking, it felt more like just uncomfortable, repeated pressure, no contractions really.

I'm just wondering how people end up going to the hospital when they say it wasn't hurting or it was just uncomfortable
It's been 4 days and I haven't contemplated going to the hospital CPA I'm not in any pain really. With DS I knew I was in labour as soon as it started because it was a pain I'd never felt before.

Lol I feel the same way that's why I put that as my avi I figure I have gone through hell trying to keep both of my babies in and I never bitched one day about being uncomfortable because it meant I was still pregnant and they were still baking so people with healthy pregnancies bitching about normal pregnancy issues or trying to induce early cause they are uncomfortable I really have no sympathy for lol I would love to have their problems if it meant for once I could go full term.

The pic is up on my profile if you want to snag it :-)

When I was just uncomfortable it took me hours before I even contemplated calling my doctor to ask if it was normal and when I got up to do that water started funning down my leg and I knew then it wasn't right at all.

SOOOO snagging. I have symphysis pubis dysfunction this pregnancy (all the extra progesterone makes my ligaments turn to butter and lets my bones of mt pelvis slip and slide horribly) and it SUCKS at times, but I rarely complain other than to my hubby if i need his help because I know from experience that the alternative sucks MUCH MUCH worse!

I am a type one diabetic with my first the lowest my sugars went was 17 I had 20 emt calls for low sugars that would drop within 20 minutes from normal ranges 8 hospital stays for pre-term labor, pre-e, bed rest at 10 wks till my water broke at 34 wks and puppps lol I was a mess...

My second I had 5 emt calls for low sugars, 6 hospital stays and I was in the hospital for 6 days, vomited every 20 minutes for almost 48 hours and they couldn't find anything wrong after testing and re-testing me for everything. All the kept saying was we know something is wrong we just don't know what it is then my sons stats started dipping and they took him via emergency C-section. Never complained once all I asked was for a bucket lol I would and did go threw hell for both my babies and I would do it all over again in a heart beat for them. :-)

I can't count the number of trips in for PTL with my first. No hospital stays as I am otherwise healthy (good sugar, hood BP, no HG, etc) except for one overnight to rehydrate me after a tummy virus (with both pregnancies, actually, hmm!). I just have to take an ass load of meds and be stitched closed and rest a lot and such. With ME being very healthy before and in pregnancy, it means I'm not usually too miserable.
I lost 20lbs from being sick with my first and that was pretty sucky, but so much more than worth it.

Although I have had to ask DH to help a bit (since I'm on rest!) and asked him to lift my legs into bed twice when my SPD got so bad I couldn't lift them myself. I did fine walking over and sitting down, but lifting then...OUCH! Haha. Thank God it was bedtime

Most of my discomfort in pregnancy is emotional. With this many losses, its very disheartening and it feels impossible to get to the end. It's VERY draining and awful. The physical discomfort is minimal in comparison!

I;ve never had a full term labor, so i don't really know the difference... my first son was delivered at 22 weeks and my second at 33 weeks.. they were almost the same except that 22 weeks i was bleeding profusely from the placenta tearing off..... i knew for a fact i was in labor with my first but with my second i figured it was just normal contractions since i'd been getting them from 8 weeks on.

It's hard when you have had losses or many complications because you are always worried about what is going to happen next. I was so scared that I might die this last pregnancy that it was hard to be close to my baby and love it while pregnant the way I did with my first because I was terrified that I would die and not only loose the baby I was carrying but leave my son without his mother and it scared the heck out me I would have nightmares about it. I also had horrible anxiety about weeks 29 threw 34 which I referred to as the red zone because this is when all of my pre-term labor the first time happened. It's hard you may go through it and not complain but it always stays with you and you never know how deep it affects you until you are pregnant again and it hits home.

Off topic but what is SPD sorry I don’t mean to pry I just have never heard of it before and it sounds like it can cause some pretty bad complications. Is it only when pregnant?

I have SPD. It makes it hard to do any walking, lifting ect for nore then 20 minutes. Everytime I go shopping im in severe pain after pushing a trolley around for more than 5 minutes! Hurts to spread legs apart or turn over in bed....its like your pelvis is just going to drop off! Its terrible.
