Then it's 6 months of no contact. No calling, no mail, no acknowledgement of them being in the child's life, no visits, all of that combined. Then you can file for abandonment and to have have rights terminated, and they can file to have their rights remain.

Also know, that them losing their rights as a parent means they're no longer responsible for paying child support, and your children lose out on any chance to have a relationship with their biological parent.
