Toddler with hemorrhoid

My 2.5 year old has never had an issue with pooping before. The past two months though she went from pooping everyday to not going for over a week. Now when she does go poop she will go stand somewhere and want someone to hold her hand while telling everyone else to "go away". We had to use a suppository once when she didn't go for over a week.

Now she seems to be a little more "regular" but I noticed after she poops she has a bulging red bump between her butt and vagina. I put cream on it and it goes away until the next time she poops when it pops back out. Is that normal.. ? I don't know what to do. We've started giving her only bran flakes as a snack and she only drinks water, never juice.

Anybody deal with hemorrhoids? I got lucky and never got them but feel bad, I don't want DD to associate the bathroom with pain, especially now its around time to start potty training,

If it's actually a hemorrhoid, dab some witch hazel on it a couple times a day. It should clear up

Between her vagina and rectum? If the protrusion is not from her anus, I would think more along the lines of a hernia maybe...

try apple juice to keep her regular or honey mixed with something milk can stop them up my son has to have apple juice or he wont go

Actually, maybe a little juice would help get things a bit more regular.Yogurt, too.

Could she have a dairy sensitivity? My son had those problems (never hemmroids though) and we had to switch him to Almond milk. He's five now and still has trouble at times... we have to give him Miralax on a regular basis to keep things moving.

No, It's not that far up. It's right above her anus. I had a hernia in my groin before and it's different. It's small (like an eraser on a pencil) and red and only bulges after the poop.

I just don't get why she went from super pooper to nothing lol especially since she's still BFing at night. She also doesn't eat junk food, drink juice, etc. nothing. None of the "risk factors".

She only drinks breast milk. She used to like dairy but has backed off recently. She still has cottage cheese daily though. We snuck some prune juice to her and it helped but she spits it out now. So we had to squirt it like medicine in her mouth. I still have some, I just feel bad making her drink it Lol I still remember my mother forcing me to drink prune juice.

Happy Baby makes organic pouches of pureed prunes. Maybe she would prefer that instead. Tell her it's a cool juice box. lol
