OPK question

Ok long story short. I tested yesterday morning and the opk said no LH surge...we BD last night anyway. Today I tested and I got a positive for a LH surge. We will BD today anyway because of the positive but does yesterday count too?

Sperm can live up to 3-5 days in the right conditions so it definitely counts.
