Menstrual Cycle

posted 9th Mar
My son is 6 1/2 months old, I have only had two periods since I had my son. This is my first child, so I'm not really sure as to what to expect. Is it normal for your menstrual cycle to be completely different than what it was before you had a child? Or should it return to the way it was before you got pregnant?

My menstrual cycle pre-pregnancy was 28-32 day cycles, and it lasted for 7 days. As I said since the birth of my son I have had two periods, they were 49 days apart and lasted for 4 1/2-5 days.

Does that seem normal or what?

Yeah, it's normal. I had irregular periods before I had my daughter, then after she was born, they were regular 28 day cycles.
