What are the odds?

So I got my tubes cut & burned. I'm really done having kids. I keep hearing stories about people who got pregnant after their tubes were cut & burned. What are the odds? I'm almost 5 wks pp & now I'm thinking about having my hubby go get a vasectomy but that kinda defeats the purpose of having my tubes done. I just really don't want to have anymore kids - obviously that's why I got this done - is there a waiting period for me to be okay or a way to find out if I'm for sure okay?

You should have a check up with your doctor at some point for them to check it. I would use back up birth control just to be on the safe side until it is confirmed.

why would him getting a vasectomy defeat the purpose of the tubal? the purpose of the tubal was so you would not get pregnant again, no? therefore getting a vasectomy would help the purpose.
