how long did you wait??

How long did you ladies wait to have sex after giving birth? I had a normal delivery but im just wondering if it ok not to wait the 40 days?

Like 3 weeks.

You're supposed to wait till your doctor checks you at 6 weeks to reduce the chance of infections.

I didnt have sex for 3 months lol.

I waited 3 weeks. but i didn't end up needing stitches and I had stopped bleeding.

6 weeks.

Just because everything feels fine, doesnt mean it is healed.

after my first i didn't have sex for the first time til 10w PP when I finally got BC, and it still hurt like a mother smurfer.

after my second we had sex after i got clearance from the doctor at 6w PP.

6 weeks because your doctor knows better than you do.

6 weeks. 8 with my last, just because I was so exhausted all the time keeping up with 3 kids 3 and under.

with my 1st i was like 5 weeks pp, It felt horrible, i felt like he was ripping me in half... I'm positive the stitches didn't dissolve yet...

it was 1 month before I had sex again and it was not as painful, but very tight, deff not worth the pain

I waited longer than 6 weeks. Still hurt.

4 weeks. In the UK you have a 6 week check with the Doctor however you get visits from the Midwife every single day for 10 days then it is transferred to a Health Visitor who continues on the homes visits and they are qualified to check you too. I think I was cleared to have healed fine after about 3 weeks and I felt ready at 4 weeks.

9 weeks.
I got pregnant.

about 7 weeks. The reason you're supposed to wait is bc of risk of infection and what not.

4-5 weeks with my first

3 weeks with my second, my doctor told me I could have sex when I felt comfortable again.
