PP Excercise to get rid of extra "fat"?

posted 11th Jun
Does anyone have any suggestions? I have a lot of extra skin from where my belly was and I am curious to see how everyone is getting rid of theres??

I really want to start doing some excercises to flatten my tummy again... I mean it I had a little bit if chunk before I got pregnant...but I look ridiculous now. I am a plus sized girl (size 16-18 before I got pregnant) so its hard for me to loose weight and look good if you know what I mean.

I just don't feel attractive and lets face it, its summer time, a lot more skin to bear!

Your belly will naturally go down. I see you are only a week pp but over time it will start to go down. I just run on the treadmill and clean the house and it seems to be working.

Yes and as time passes that will start to go back to normally. At least for myself and a bunch of my friends it did. I was so depressed with having a saggy looking pooch but it has gone down on its own.

I don't get to work out but 3 times/week if lucky so I have a video called slim and 6 pack. It's 11 mins 12 secs of nothing but crunches. It's pretty hardcore but seems to have been working. No 6 pack yet but my stomach is definitely getting stronger.

I know exactly how you feel... I now have more of a varandah over the shop front too and it hangs a bit.
I know Im only 12 days pp and I am very lucky and lost 9.4kgs (20.58lbs) throughout the preg with eating healthily, but there is a certain amount of stretch that I have to try and get back into line.

Watching for advice...
P.S. returning to work in 6 weeks, also have a 20mth old and mountains of washing!
Gym impossible no time and atm, its winter here so walks are no can do either...

Get on the floor and lay on your back like if you're going to do sit up and pull your belly button towards the floor. Hold for 15 sec. Don't squeeze your abs to hard bc then it wont work just do it until you feel a minimal tightning -like when you suck in your breath- and repeat as often as you can. Pregnancy separates the inner most abdominal muscles (transverse I think) and only doing this specific excersice helps. You can also do it standing up, when your sitting infront of your computer, etc. The more often the better and it really does work bc I had that same flab and I did this for a week and it went away and I'm still chunky but I have a flat stomach with a layer of fat now instead of a fat stomach with a pouch kwim?
