oz the great with 3.5 year old

I have not been on here in forever but I'm kind of stressing about a question I have...
My son has been begging to see this oz the great movie and I want to see it too but I'm worried it might not be appropriate for 3 and a half year old. I'm confused though because Disney Channel advertises it and the behind the scenes stuff and really encourages it. So do you think it would be too intense for 3 and a half year old, he himself told me when I told him it might be too scary that he knows that the bad witch is going to lose and the good guys will win and that the monkeys are fake. I don't know how to feel about it, should I just take him out during scary times or not go at all or do you think that it should be appropriate as it is a childs movie...

A website that a friend of mine uses (And I occasionally use as well...) is called pluggedin.com. They basically give ratings on how family friendly a movie is based on a bunch of different elements, and give it a 1-5 rating based on that. They also have these articles that break down everything that could be considered inappropriate, from alcohol use to violent elements and then on. It's pretty good!

The reviews definitely don't make it sound kid friendly. It's not going to be anything like the Wizard of Oz.
