Contraction question, urgent!

If contractions suddenly go from 1 min long/5 min apart to 1.5 min long/9 min apart..is that progress or not since they are longer and stronger?

I'd say not because they are still inconsistant? With DS my water broke before I had any consistant or strong contractions, so I'm not positive.

No.. I would say it's progress when the contractions ate closer together.

That sounds like my labor pattern with E! If they were 3 minutes apart they were much more manageable and if they were 8 minutes apart they dropped me to my damn knees, they went back and forth. I was seriously all over the place. I have long labors though. So, while it was progress for me, it was still a long time before birth happened.

I'm gonna call progress since I'm now having bloody show and stronger ctx!

Thanks! Easiest labor yet, though I'm glad I don't have to do it again, lol. 9 lbs 6 oz, 20.5 in long. 6 hours of labor total.
