When I feel like they've had enough tv I put a CD in their dvd player. They like having noise. They don't seem to care that it's not a cartoon, as long as their is some kind of noise going on.
I usually put on a relaxing moods type of CD with soft music like Enya or Enigma. Helps relax them and they tend to play very quietly and nicely with eachother.

Yo Gabba Gabba lol that's the only show she can watch a straight episode of but she also loves Dora, Diego, fresh beat band and spongebob. I took her to see a yo Gabba concert though and she LOVED it

Reading everyone's responses, it makes me realize how much I love having a 9, almost 10 year old! I don't miss those annoying shows one bit.
She loves Adventure Time and Regular Show, which are both actually very good and very watchable. She also likes most of the shows I like and watch.
My time is coming though.. I have a 9 month old who will soon be watching all those annoying shows! Though I don't mind some of them, like Sesame Street.

I didn't know they had concerts! I have to look in to this. He would just love it. Daddy would want to lobotomize himself lol.

my DD (11 months) LOVES the tangled movie. seriously, we watch tangled every day, it's the only way i can get a shower in the morning. she finds mother gothel hilarious.
she likes sesame street too, especially grover. doesn't really pay attention to anything else except the silly AFN commercials.

Blues Clues. She gets SO excited when she sees it and is very interactive, it's taught her a few words and dances, too.
She also loves Super Why and My Little Pony

They do! They have an official website you can go to and look up where they will be going. They're on tour right now and were 3 exits away from my town. I payed 167 for 2 adults and 2 kids and its not crazy long either, it's just enough to keep their attention and not have them out late. Biz markie was there too so it was also a little part that the parents got to enjoy

My daughter doesn't watch much television. We don't have cable, so we're limited to what's available on Netflix or Hulu Plus. When we are around cable, she gets irritated easily with the sheer onslaught of constant commercials!
That said, her favourite "children's" show is Ruby Gloom.
She also enjoys one specific "normal" show - Community.
