After stopping depo

Did you lose any weight? If you gained on the shot. I have stopped so just wondering.

Also, if you TTC after the shot how long did it take your periods to get regular? Did you need help getting regular? And how long did it take you to get pregnant?

yes i gained about 60 pounds with depo and lost it all within a year of quitting the shots. i dont remember how long it took for me to become regular again because this was like 20 years ago so i cant answer that or the ttc question, sorry hun

I gained 50 and lost it 3 years later, and got pregnant soon after

I got my last shot April of 2012. I started a period right away and got on twice maybe three times a month till I found out I was pregnant in December. Finally at almost 19 weeks I've dropped 9 pounds lol. I gained 20 :/

My ob said that it can take up to a year and a half for fertility to come back. Even though I was having what I thought was periods I wasn't ovulating. Drink lots of water and maybe a detox tea could work too. Good luck  

Planned parenthood said it can take up to 9 months to get pregnant or have regular period.. I got pregnant 9 months after stopping the depo shot. Got the depo shot after I had my son, and was supposed to get the next shot in January.. I didn't get it and still don't have a regular period... I spot for a few hours and it quits.

I gained 40ish lbs on it. I know some of it is my eating but some of that was also due to the shot.

Depo is the devil! I am glad to be off of it.

Me either! My doctor made it seem like the right solution for me but it really wasn't. I have a massive headache right now and I know it's due to the fact that I didn't get the shot. I smurfing hate hate depo

My exact words were I don't want to get pregnant now, but when I want to I don't want any problems.

She says, "oh yeah no problem. You're going to love it."

Yeah I told her that too! I didn't want an IUD at the time because I knew I wouldn't it in for that long...and the pill wasn't doing it for me after I had my son. She said that it does take time to get out your system but said I would not have any issues and would love it. I loved my first shot, but after it started wearing off I got really sick. They said it wasn't the shots fault but it totally was. I've had nothing but bleeding issues and severe problems with headaches on the shot.

Yeah because I absolutely refused and IUD so she pushed the shot. When I told her the issues I was having after my first shot she told me they would go away and it was my body getting used to it...NOT!

I hope you feel better those headaches are terrible. Supposedly the depo comes out through your pores or something so drink lots of water and try to work out. I drank a detox tea and pounded water. I tried to work out

Didn't lose any weight, but didn't gain any while on depo. My periods never regulated before I got pregnant, and I conceived 8 months after my last shot
