at what age?

did you first curl your daughter's hair? I have a hard time thinking of using an iron on my baby's hair but my family tells me she is fine. She is 3 in April.

I'm a professional hairstylist, and using hot tools on children that age even makes ME nervous! I don't blame you...

Why not use those foam rollers? Sally's, Wal-Mart, and I think even Dollar Tree carry them..No heat, and she could sleep in them overnight.

Just for fun one night I wanted to see if I could curl DD's hair (she is 3) It didnt hold at all so I gave up. Her hair is just so thin I cant imagine doing much of anything to it.

My cousin curls her almost 3 year olds hair. I couldn't imagine doing it to DD because I know when she's older, she will put her hair through so much bullsmurf. Why would I want to give her a head start ? If I wanted to do it for something important like pictures, holiday, wedding etc I would just use rollers

Yeah. That and I think they are easier than using a curling iron. My mom used to do mine with the foam ones all the time. They have different sizes too

Also, my hair refuses to hold a curl if I use heat..But if I put foam rollers in when it's damp and sleep in them, the curls stay longer..

that is very clever. I just do not want to damage her soft hair lol

It really is like downy at that age and very, VERY easy to singe.

Def not! Lol..It'll be hard enough when she's a teenager and wants to dye her hair 23587 times and use straighteners/blow dry/curling iron/etc lol, and not do it properly. Then damage it and cry lol
