I am a gamer and if I didn't have self discipline and a million other responsibilities I would probably play for ten hours straight. All you can do is explain to him that you would appreciate it if he played less and spent a little more time with his family.

My husband is a gamer too. It gets so frustrating.

I'm the gamer in our relationship. I certainly know how addictive it can be. He's going to have to make a conscientious effort to play less and spend more time with you. Have you tried sitting him down and talking to him about it when he's not playing?

My husband is a gamer, he started off well with not playing it too much. Recently he had been playing it alot more and i was sure to point that out. Talk to him bout it, tell him you would rather him spend time with his family. These precious years with our kids dont last forever and he will be sad if he misses it.

DH works from home and he is a gamer as well. He sits in his computer chair all day every single day. I just see the back of his head all day.
I clean I cook, I even mop the floors under his feet while he's at his desk playing
He wouldn't eat all day if I didn't make something, at least not till like 9pm he finally stops for food.
For me personally, we're not doing anything but watching tv anyway. Unless we're going somewhere idc how much he plays.
If I asked him to sit with me he would, or to play a board game he would spend time with us.

It's the cleaning I can't seem to get him to do..

That's what my husband does too. He wakes up at 5-6pm, plays until worktime which is 10pm, then leaves. He comes home around 7am, plays for the next 2 hours, and then sleeps. The weekends he will wake up earlier and play all day long. I use to be a gamer, but I don't have time now that I have 2 kids. It frustrates me that I can sacrifice for my family, but he can't even spend an hour or 2 with us. :/

Yea he is good about going to do things with us except grocery shop.

He always seems to add more money to the bill anyways but I hate going alone and I wont leave dd with him because I dont feel like he will watch her well enough.

You just told my life story, except DH works away from home and we don't watch much tv! It's sad actually. Stupid games.

I relate. My SO wakes up at 6am to play games then works 8am-6pm and plays games until midnight. I dont really care about that part because I just do my own thing I find the annoying part is his gamer attitude.

By that I mean if hes playing a game he automatically becomes bitchy. If you say/do something that requires a break in his concentration from the game he gets right rude, it doesnt matter what it is. It happens with our son too, like if our son asks him "daddy can I have a chocolate milk?" he will ignore him until my son is right in his face then he will be like "WHAT son?! Im busy!!!". Its totally annoying and a pet peeve of mine.

My fiance' is a WoW nerd, he pretty much has the same routine as your SO. Wakes up, goes to work, comes home and jumps on the computer. Luckily for me, I have my own laptop and find ways to keep me entertained. I know you can't exactly do the same considering you already have a child to care for, but maybe you should find something that interests you that you can do while he's gaming..
