Crib problems!!

posted 8th Mar
The crib that i'm using is already lowered as far as it can go. It has three different options: crib, daybed, and full size bed. I have a one year old and I dont think she's ready for a day bed because she wont stay in it and that's just like a crib except without the front part. I really dont want her falling out of the crib, she can already get out of the bathtub that has a high front on it and she tries to get out of the crib which is very high up from my tile floors. What did everyone else do at this stage?? keep her in the crib? find a way to lower the crib even further if there is any?? or switch to a day bed?

If converting it into the daybed lowers it, I would do that.

I don't think it does:/ there's no more slots for it to go lower or anything):

Ohhh
Is she able to crawl out of the crib, or just practicing??

I don't have much advice. I'm lucky my 18 m/o hasn't attempted it... yet!

I would convert it to a day bed and add a rail to the side so she can't roll out in her sleep.

Only thing you can do is convert into a daybed. She will be just fine. They have removeable mesh rails you can get at walmart if you are scared of her falling out. My LO rolled out like once or twice, but he was just fine when i put him back in. Its not that high of a drop. She will know the difference.

I would rather my LO roll out of bed rather than climb out of the crib and break his neck. Just my opinion though.

Convert to daybed. Put lots of pillows and such right beside it so if she does fall or roll she wont hit the tile. Show her the way to get out safely. (Roll to belly, feet first, slowly slide down.)

Her escaping the crib and hitting the tile is worse than having her roam. If you are worried about her roaming in the night, COMPLETELY baby proof the room, and put a gate up on the door after shes asleep for the night.

Didnt see the tile part. Put an area rug under the crib.

If she is already trying to get out of her crib she needs to be moved to a toddler bed. Its much safer for them to roll out of a toddler bed then a falling out of a crib especially on tile flooring. I would highly suggest getting a rug to put under her bed so she at least has some cushion. The toddler bed has a railing that attaches to the toddler bed
