ive been saying im going to get this tattoo for ages. Tonight Im finally not punking out. Trouble is I started playing and drawing with my PS at work bored and created more than one I liked. Pick the one you think will translate best as a shoulder or collarbone tat. Like this:

Oh and if you want to know the meaning, I have thought long and hard about everything I wanted and how I wanted to put it together:

For my son. His name is Nehemiah. Yes named after the Book of the Bible
The verse Neh 9:6 is one of my favorites "You alone are the Lord. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitude of heavens worship you"
Hawthorne flowers and lily of the valley are both flowers of May
Roman numerals is his birthday 5/22

Remember you can always add it later if you decide you want it, it's a lot harder to remove it if you don't. So if you are torn it may be better to leave it simple for now. That's being said if you are pretty positive you want it and are chickening out for other reasons, bite the bullet ;)

Either way I love all the designs, but I kind of like a mix of the first with the colorful lily

im punking out because I dont like pain lol. My foot tattoo made me wary of the needle! Ive been tweaking and thinking about what I wanted for 9 months. its my birthday tomorrow, its my gift to myself  

First I have to tell you that is one of the most beautiful meaningful tattoo idea's I've ever seen. Having said that.. I like the last one just not sure how it would look with the placing you want? I really do think it's beautiful though. You'll be able to see with the stencil if it will look good, so if that's your favourite then go with it.

You can have them draw it up where it won't look awkward without it, stencil it on, but have them fill it in later on after you are sure you can handle the pain. The chest wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting but it wasn't on my collar bone.

thank you   I sat for a long time sketching the elements I wanted and puzzling them together. I think im going to bring in number 3 and 6 to my artist and see what he says. maybe combine number 3's font with 6's flower....hmmm

I think the Lily of the valley would look better in the place you're getting it, though, since they're narrower and the top of your shoulder is pretty narrow.

Love that! Might be hard to out it where you are wanting it but check with the artist and they will work with you
