Poor hubby :( (tmi)

My poor poor SO's penis got circumsized a few days ago :'( long story short but as a kid the foreskin closed up and the nurse improperly "fixed" it by ripping it down leaving a big scar. And the scar recently started drying/tightening and cracking. So he had to get snipped. Poor SO is waddling around the house and almost was in tears this morning when he woke up with a boner LOL. Seriously looks so painful though, I had to help change the gauze and its all stitched up and bruised and swollen and bloody   I feel so bad! Seeing him getting snipped really made me glad that I never did that to my baby boy. I just really got to make sure my son cleans it proper.

No sex for another month or two. Damnnn

This would make me glad that I DID have my son circumcised, because he won't remember the procedure, and won't have the complications from foreskin closing up, bad repairs, and cracking.

If he'd have been circumcised as a baby he wouldn't have had any of these issues growing up and he wouldn't have remembered the procedure.

I feel the same about it, kinda makes me glad I had my son done.

It's actually exactly why I had my son done. His pedi had, had a lot of recent cases where foreskin became too tight and had to be repaired, which would up being more of a problem than simply circumcising.

But your son, your choice of course.

Well we see things differently than because it looks smurfing PAINFUL. Like I winced just from looking at it. I can imagine letting them do that to my son and letting my son sit in a diaper with a cut up penis   not nice. My SO's was a rare case. He didn't clean it and the nurse didn't know what the smurf she was doing. I can avoid a circumsision for my son all together if I make sure he is cleaning it well.

Well if nurses were properly educated on how to care for intact penises, this injury would never have happened and SO wouldn't have had to have a circumcision. The problem could have been solved gently with steroid cream and stretching. Performing unnecessary surgery on infants to prevent an iatrogenic injury is ridiculous and unethical. And infants do remember, just not consciously. It permanently alters their neurological development.

I think the foreskin closing was after he was first circumcised as a baby... It's called a penile adhesion. That happened to a friend's son.
