LOL no.

Fraternal twins are hereditary from the female's bloodline. If your mother's side of the family is known to ovulate and release two eggs at once instead of 1, you may have a chance.

Identical twins are a freak happening. This is when cells randomly divide after fertilization which is not controlled by anything.

I thought that. I knew I'd look stupid posting this lol
There have been twins on my side of the family but not for years.
I read that it didnt matter if he had twins on his side and that that doesn't make a difference.
I dont want to go on fertility medication or anything just something natural lol
I guess it's a never mind then? like nothing I can do will help?

Nothing.

And fertility meds are only going to be given to you if you're not ovulating on your own, and the wreak havoc on your hormones so I wouldn't even consider it for non-medically necessary reasons.

I am pregnant with twins and they do not run in my family at all, and according to what my husband found online since I am still fairly young and there was no ivf or anything the chances of conceiving twins shouldn't have been that high. The one thing that might have made it happen was I went off BC. He read online that if your on the pill and go off it the first month gives you the best chance of conceiving twins because you might drop an extra egg.

There isn't a natural way to conceive twins. It's hereditary, or caused by IVF drugs.

To be totally honest, I would look about the risks associated with having twins. I know it seems ideal for people, but for the babies and mother, it can be really dangerous.

The natural way would be to either conceive them spontaneously or have a family history of twins. There is no way to "try" to get twins unless you are undergoing fertility treatment.

I totally agree with you. I almost had a heart attack when the tech announced that we had a bonus baby, this was the last thing I wanted. Now there is an issue with them and we are stuck waiting to find out if I am going to lose one or both of them and if they are going to have severe issues. Also, if I do lose one there are a lot of issues that can cause for me like excessive bleeding, infection, etc.

Also twins are at a higher risk for genetic disorders and birth defects.

Identical isn't hereditary, actually, that's just a freak happening.

I've heard that about bc as well. And also I've heard If you get preg the month after a mc the chances are higher too. Just extra hormones or something make you hyper ovulate idk.

My twins were from clomid. I do not recommend that for fun. It cause me a lot of problems, one twin didn't grow, I ended up with vasa previa because my placenta Implanted wrong, I had placenta previa and had bleeding a few times during my preg. Got hospitalized once and was on bed rest. Then spent the last month of my preg on hospital bed rest and had my surviving baby at 35 weeks via medically necessary planned csection due to the Vasa previa. Then when they delivered her they found out I had two placentas and they stretched across te whole left side of my uterus and luckily it didn't happen but it put me at high risk for a hysterectomy at birth. And I had to worry my whole preg about my baby bleeding to death spontaniously and going into labor which would have killed her because of the VP. Now I'm in counseling for PTSD and my csection was a rough recovery because of her being in the nicu. Yeah not worth it IMO. There was a dumbass on here awhile back trying to use black market clomid to have twins and apparently my story didn't phase her because all I got was "we'll everyone's body reacts differently". But not worth it IMO if you don't need it. Of course I'm happy to have my baby but I really wish I'd have been able to conceive without clomid. Part of me wonders if it was worth it, but then I look at my LO and yes it was. But it would have been nice to not have to go through all that to get her here.

.....right. I didn't say it was. If you want to get technical, a ton of drugs, even non-IVF, can cause multiples too.
