Where is your favorite place in the world?

and why?
It has to be somewhere you've actually traveled to/lived in.

I've never lived in Chicago, but we go whenever we get the chance. It's really the only "big" city I've ever been to. I can't explain it, but I like it.

Gatlinburg, TN and the cabin we stayed in. It was such a relaxing vacation and I can't wait to go back again. Granted, we went before we had kids, so I'm sure the next trip will be very different!

Edinburgh, Scotland or Montepulciano, Italy
They both have a lot of history and a pretty well-preserved medieval aesthetic. As an American, both places just felt very magical and "fairy taleish" to me.
Plus, you can't beat the Scotch in Scotland or the red wine in Tuscany.

This place off the highway in South Carolina. There's this log cabin smack dab at the top of one of the Great Smoky Mountains. It's surrounded by bright green grass and a tons of trees. I've never actually seen it up close, but I want that to be my house.

I love Chicago. But I also love Montana, up in the mountains.
They're both favorites of mine, I guess it depends on my mood, though.
If I wanted peace and quiet and seclusion, I'd go to Montana. I wouldn't go to Chicago for that.

Oh, and NYC.
It has the biggest, most exciting energy of any place I've been.

La Push beach in Washington. I think it's beautiful- lots of trees and everything is so green. It also rains almost every day and I love the rain. I spent my teenaged years living there

The Grand Canyon in Arizona. It's unlike anything I've ever experienced before. I want to live near there now. It's like walking in a painting. I went there during their astronomy week/weekend. It was amazing, I've seen things I'd never thought I'd ever see. I have also been to London and Scotland. I loved seeing where Shakespeare grew up and his little cabin and garden that he had.

Iceland's pretty special too. It's really pretty, and the natural resources are fascinating. Glaciers, fjords, natural hot pots (and geothermal energy), the northern lights...

Tossa De Mar, Spain. It's the best kept secret of the Mediterranean if you ask me. Its about an hour north of Barcelona. We found it accidentally, and fell in love. I would love to live there someday.

For me right now, it would have to be Las Vegas.
I lived there for quite a bit and it's gorgeous. Not talking about all the smurf on the strip but all the mountains and cool things to see.
Plus the weather <3
Uuuggghhh I miss living there....
