BC for BF moms

If youre EBF, are you on birth control? What are you using?

I suck at remembering to take a pill every day, let alone at the same time... I had Mirena after I had my oldest, that lasted like 3-4 months, i smurfing HATED it.. I don't really want the shot because I know a lot of people who have gained weight on it..

Sooo that pretty much leaves me with the arm one, yes?

Ugh, my appointment is in an hour, lol.

I use to EBF. I have paragard. It doesn't have any hormones.

I'm on the mini pill. My DR only mentioned that I could take the pill, mini pill or shot. I got pregnant on the normal pills, and had my period for 3 months straight on the depo shot.

I'm just using spermicide. I need a hormone break.

Paragard doesn't have any hormones. It's an IUD. You don't have to remember to take a pill everyday, or even every month. It's pretty much birth control for dummies lol. And did I mention NO HORMONES!!!??

I tried that before and it burned like crazy. IDK if I was allergic or what. I started cramping horribly, then it burned when I went pee.. Ugh.

We also tried spermicidal condoms before, and that was just as bad.

Depending on the person, you will have heavy cramping and a heavier period. While my body was getting use to it, my cramping was insane but it was nothing that I couldn't take a tylenol for. My periods have always been heavy, that doesn't bother me. They are actually starting to lighten up. All in all, mild cramping and a heavy period beats a pregnancy any day.

im on the depo shot. i strongly do not recommend it. it has caused an array of horrid side effects.

mini pill isnt too bad but its not very effective

I'm gonna try the mini pill. She said its 99% effective as long as you take it at the same time every day.

The shot was not recommended for me, she said It can cause osteoporosis and since I am small she said it was not a good idea.

This. Also AF has not returned yet, but when she does I'll be monitoring my cycle with Persona.
