So I'm making black forest cupcakes this weekend for my sisters going away BBQ and I can't decide what I should do. My options are:

1) chocolate cupcake with maraschino cherry whipped cream topping, shaved chocolate and maraschino cherry on top.

2) chocolate cupcake filled with fresh chopped cherries soaked in kirsch, whipped cream topping, shaved chocolate and a full soaked cherry on top.

3) chocolate cupcake filled with cherry chocolate ganache, whipped cream topping, shaved chocolate and a cherry on top. (maraschino cherry or fresh cherry?)

.... I'm having a hard time deciding between fresh cherries and maraschino cherries, help!
