Anyone want to tell me if this sounds like my fuel pump.


I was coming home from school and i went to speed up and couldnt at the same time my check engine light came on and then the oil light came on. Yes i have oil we check the oil before we had it towed.

Did you have gas?

could be the water pump, or one of the belts
that's what happened to mine and it was both haha

Could be. It could also be some sort of sensor going out. I know we had an issue just like that with my old car a few years ago and we thought it was the fuel pump, but it was a sensor (I can't think of the actual name for it and DH isn't here or I'd ask him).

The water pump won't cause what OP is describing. If a water pump went out there just wouldn't be and coolant going to the engine so it would run hot. If she let it run hot long enough, the motor would just give out all together most likely.

like i said, mine wasn't just the water pump... It was also a belt, it just sounds similar to what happened to mine.

yah its not running hot just doing what i said above and i know the snsor ur talking about mine did that months ago and it was different id have to slow down then speed up then slow down and speed up again and they fixed it most my belts were replaced last year.


Yes I had almost a full take of gas...


I was thinking maybe bad gas as well but guess ill find out for sure soon enough. Lol but if i have to go anywhere I have to take the bus... Lol.
