But yeah, It's their kid, they can do what they want. I just don't get it is all I was trying to say. If you're going to call your kid by his/her middle name, why not just make it their first name.

I personally didn't like it as a first name. And I wanted him to go by his middle name like I always have.

For me it didn't sound right the other way and I didn't want to call him by his first name because his Papa and uncle are both called that. To each his own, I suppose.

We call our daughter Eva Catalina. I like the sound of her first and middle name put together.

That's cute! The only time I heard my first name and middle name together as a child was when I was in trouble. Haha!

I'd be kind of pissed if my,MIL just decides to use my kids middle name if that isn't what I called them.

It has always annoyed me that she calls everyone by their middle name. My husband and stepson I understand- they share a first name. I hoghly doubt she'll ever meet our daughter anyways...
