having a rough time

I was just diagnosed with asthma and was put on flovent which didnt help. I was also put in advair last week and ill take the last dose tomorrow and im still feeling the same. I feel like I cant get a good deep breath in and now my back hurts from trying to get a deep breath in. I work with my pulmonologist so ill talk to him tomorrow. I feel like I haf another asthma attack. My heart rate was up again and felt like I was going to pass out

Did they put you on prednisone? When I got my diagnosis first I was on prednisone, pulmicort and Albuterol. As soon as we got my breathing under control, I remained on albuterol as needed and that was it.

If your heart is beating to fast you are taking to much in. I take advair everyday and it took a solid month for it to really start working. Have you figured out what's triggering it?

No it was just the flovent and advair. We live by a warehouse that runs the trucks early am and im wondering if the fumes are triggering it?

That could be. Did you just move there?

It could also be that she is just getting used to it. When I started taking albuterol my heart felt like it was going to jump out of my chest. Now, I am good

No I've lived here almost 8 yrs. My girls get croup once a year.

My kids are battling it right now. Pisses me off! ugh

How about any recent mold growth? Typically, asthma doesn't just come on based on enviornment that you have been in for a long time. Something triggers it active. It is possible you have had it for a while and just not severe?

Also, I have to ask. Do you by any chance have anxiety? Sometimes anxiety can mimick asthma symptoms.

No there is no mold growth. In had a breathing test and it showed I had mild asthma. I have xanax for anxiety and took a whole pill and it did nothing

Are you charting your peak flows before and after medication?

This can certainly be a trigger. Anything that can agitate your lungs, like the fumes.

I notice that after I use the advair I do have some relief. Its during the day and closer to the 12 hours I get tight chest and have a hard time fetting a good breath in
