when did your baby start to.....

hen did your baby start holding head up where you didnt really need to support it? and when did they start like smiling (not from gas) and interacting more with you? DS is 6 weeks on monday and he is my first so I am just curious. TIA!

I don't remember the holding his head up but he was full on giggling before 9 weeks and smiling and interacting at that point.

Ds was holding his head up enough that I didn't have to worry abou him around 2 weeks and started smiling at stimulation other than gas (like DH and I) around 5 weeks.
Dd was lazy, she didn't hold her head up well until probably 5-6 weeks and disk start smiling at us until around 10-12 weeks. But she was also miserable most of the time, she was terribly colicky.

Declan was holding his head up on his own at about 1 month and started smiling a little after. They are so much fun when they start laughing and smiling.  

i dont want to rush time but I am SO exctied for that

DS can hold his head up but it falls after a minute or two.

Mine held their heads up really well by 5 weeks. Started smiling at 12 weeks. They were 5.5 weeks early though so I guess you would have to adjust for that somewhat.
