Is it wrong?

My husband cheated on me and we separated. Getting a divorce. Anyways his best friend of many years has offered to help me. I went from relying on my husband on everything to being "single" mom. He's still involved in our DD life. He's a great dad. But I have her Monday thru Friday and usually weekends.

Anyways his best friend has been helping me get things for my DD. And he'll surprise me with things I need/want. He's just a nice guy. I've known him for years so he became a great friend if mine aswell. We don't mess around or anything. Just have a good friendship. Am I doing anything wrong with letting him help me? I never ask he just offers and does it surprisingly. I was having a terrible day the other day and he just sent me an edible arrangement. Just wishing me a better day. He's always been so nice and caring. So I know it's out of the goodness of his heart. I just feel bad that he's basically paying my bills. And helping me make ends meet. He is my daughters god father. So I think he's just wanting to make sure she's okay and taken care of. He said she will never go without. And he said he would pay for my own apartment so I can go back to school and not stress. He makes plenty of money and it's not even a big deal to him. I just don't want to use anyone. I feel like I'm using him because I don't do anything in return. I thank him all the time. And I'll bake him stuff. But he wants to pay for me and my daughter and doesn't expect a thing in return. Some people say I'm lucky and blessed. Others say terrible things. What would you do?

Oh and FYI my EXDH knows that his best friend is helping me and talks to me. He just doesn't know how much he helps. My husband has been trying to win me back. But there's some things I just can't forgive him for. The love is gone. Sorry if this all jumbled up or whatever. I've been having a rough time.

i have a best friend who offers to do the same for me, and thats because hes in love with me..you might want to look into that possibility.

I'd feel uncomfortable letting someone do all that for me. And yeah, the friend is probably into you.

Is it wrong if I want him to love me? I'd love to be with someone like him. He has great morals and is a wonderful guy. But the only problem is he's my EXDH best friend. And as bad as EXDH hurt me I couldn't do that to him.

He loves you. You need to figure out your feelings for him and if they aren't the same then stop letting him do things for you. It will only string the poor guy along.

Also how involved is your ex when you have your daughter 7 days a week?

your x should have nothing to do with it in all honesty.

Yep he's totally in love with you. I would feel strange having a man who I wasn't in a relationship with pay my bills

I wouldn't feel bad, I don't think it's wrong. You're not asking for help, he's offering it.
And if things between you develop into a relationship, so what? Your ex husband shouldn't make a difference in whether or not you get into a relationship with his friend or not. Though it may be awkward.

If he is a wonderful man, great for you, great to be a second father to you daughter, treats you well and genuinely cares. Screw your ex. I mean I can see the issues, I really can. BUT he's the one that blew it, not you.

If you have feelings for him and you both want to pursue something then screw your ex. 1) your relationships are none of his business 2) it would be between the friend and your ex not you and your ex. You are allowed to be with whoever you want. They would need to define those boundaries in their relationship.
