Yup. It's like battle of the strong willed but you have to just keep on putting them back. They will give up. You just have to stay strong. Don't talk, just put her back again and again and again until she gets that you are serious about it. I learned this from Super Nanny

Everyones 3yo is a jerk..lol

They can behave sometimes at this age though when asked. They dont call them the terrifying threes for nothing. They try you alot at this age..theyre learning their limits and testing boundaries.

Find a punishment that works and stick with it or its going to get worse.. Much worse. We had such an issue we had to switch to positive reinforcement..with the exception of time outs for really bad behavior. Time outs are good for both of you, gives you a break to breathe.

You have to teach her whats appropriate and whats innapropriate. I ask my son ahead of time to act appropriately, ie, sitting quietly/nicely, being nice to other kids. I let him know my expectations. When he is naughty, I am short and to the point and into time out he goes. Once his time is over, I explain why he was put into time out. You have to explain things where they can grasp them at three though..so you cant be long winded or use big words. Just tell them they werent nice or something like that.

I dont think you can teach a kid not to hit by hitting them.

Just keep trying so she knows its not a joke. Fair warning..it may take a couple hours. Ignore her though..or she will just make you angry..it can get rather ugly.
