when did you?

Start your infant on baby food and table food. My son will be 6 months on the 24th and hes already super interested in table food. If Im eating and hes next to me or on my lap as I bring the food to my mouth he opens his mouth wanting some so I was thinking on testing out some food with him. Hes already had a little taste of potato and he loved it. Did you just stick to baby food or did you start a combo of baby food and table food this early and see how they handled it?

I started mine in stage 1 jar food at 4 months. She's 8 months now and she has a mix of jarred food and table food. I feed her oatmeal everyday for lunch and then for dinner depending on what were eating ill give her some. She ate a whole bowl of spaghetti last night, it was cut up really small for her

My LO will be 6 months on the 29th and I give her baby food once a day.

I would say if he is interested that much in it to go for it and try. I started my LOs on veggies first so they didn't get only the taste for the sweet of fruit. Just a warning, be prepared for a hail storm of other mommas telling you no solids til a year, they will rip you a new one! lol

I started at 6 months with jar food, but she didn't want anything to do with it. So, I looked into BLW. She loves small pieces of whatever we're eating. She wants to do it all by herself. Except oatmeal, I'm not cleaning up that mess lol

I started DS on baby food at 5 months and table food at 6.5 months (his main source was formula but he had 6 teeth at 6 months so he got some table food).

I started my son on baby food at like 4 or 5 months. I mostly fed him those until he was close to a year and then I fed him table foods.

I never used baby food. Straight to table food and it was about 7 1/2 months. However if he is interested now I would go ahead and give him bites.

I started peas at 5 and a half months.

About 8-9 months. We tried earlier but he wouldn't go for it.

I started my son on baby food at 4 months but he wasn't really interested so I just retried him on it this week and he has been been eating like crazy. I would have waited longer to start him but he was eating almost 40oz of formula a day and still was acting hungry. He started showing interest in table food before four months but I have only fed him jars of baby food so far.

Pea baby food or actual peas? I thought about trying soft veggies with him but then I freak out thinking hes going to choke. I cant for the life of me remember when I started table foods with my son. Do babies at 6 months know how to chew? Lol. Because when I put the potato in his mouth he just kind of sucked on it and swallowed it then wanted more.

Both I would purée the peas.

Research baby led weaning. It's more developmentally appropriate. They can eat table foods just fine. And my dd was 8 mos. 6 mos is fine.
