Hehe it was! Went to the orientation/open house last night. I am soooo excited! There is a HUGE need for newborns in our state! Sent in our paperwork for our background check. I will come out to the FB world as soon as background and house checks clear.

If I was married I'd do it in a heartbeat. That's been my dream for a long time. There's soo many kids who need to be fostered.

You don't have to be married to foster! There are many single foster parents!!

I just need to hurry and finish our master bedroom and get our new doors put in (we get them in the next couple of weeks!!!) there is no way it would pass as of now, because of the peeling paint on the doors, and my bedroom under construction especially since that is where the babies will be.

Really? I was going through the guidelines for my state before and I swore it said that. That's good!
As soon as I'm done school I want to try. So many kids needing love it breaks my heart

We've fostered. Loved every minute of it, But we did the 5-9 year old ranges.

You should! There were more single people there last night then there was married.  

There is a couple at my church fostering a little girl. Would you adopt if they needed that?

How come you stopped? I need babies. lol Plus my husband wont take on older kids, he is scared of problems they come with and he is convinced they would hurt our other children. He is being a huge support with me doing it, I was all it. I wouldn't have minded up to 3-4 year olds, but my husband is dead against it.

I plan on starting the process to become a foster parent late this year or early next year. I have everything all together but I don't want to start fostering until this unborn baby is about a year old. I feel that it's a wonderful way to touch the lives of children in need.

Absolutely!

Edit: The return rate to families is 90% in my state, so the chances of us needing to adopt is small. But we are VERY open it.

Because we got pregnant again..   So now we are over the limit in our state to foster   Very bittersweet moment for us
