How many outfits?

How many outfits per size would you say you need for the first year?

I couldn't even tell you. My kid's grow out of their clothes within weeks. By 8 months he was wearing 24m+

Its hard to put a number on it, but a lot per size. Babies are messy (obviously).

I would mainly stick to 0-3 and 3-6 for a little while. Maybe a few of the other larger sizes. But, you never know how fast LO is going to grow, or they might stay at a small size for months. I always do the first 6 or so months, then get the rest when I think I'm going to need them.

I overbuy, so I can't say for sure. But less of newborn stuff, for sure.
I wouldn't buy everything ahead of time, since all babies are different. DD will be 2 in May and is still wearing 12 month stuff. So there were a lot of things last summer that she couldn't wear because they were too big.

For me, it depends on how much you do laundry. I do a load every day to every other day, so I am constantly washing stuff, so I probably didn't need as much as I have. When they are smaller, they go though more clothes, spit up, blow outs, etc. As they get a bit older, that stuff tends to slow down, at least it has for my two kids.

Hard to say, Can't remember with Addison, but Asher started wearing 6m clothes at 4 months.

I say about 5 per day. So 25-50 depending on how often you want to do laundry.

And another thing, Addy was FF and Asher is BF we have to change his outfits once or twice a day, that BF baby poop will explode out. I've even thrown away a few things because they were full of poop!

I would say at least a weeks worth for each size. So 7 sleepers and 7 day outfits.

It's hard to say, they grow fast. My 11 weeks old son wears 6 month clothes and is 18 pounds. He will fit in a outfit one day and the next not.

So I should get less newborn and more larger sizes?

I'd say yes.

I would wait to buy bigger sizes too. It's best to just get the essentials for the newborn period and go from there. Mine were in 0-3 month clothes for 5 months, then 6 month clothes for a couple months, skipped right through 9 month clothes and are now in 12 month clothes at 9 months old! Every baby is different!
