re: elective induction after 39 weeks...

Have you ever experienced gallstones or kidney stones? If not then your opinion on 'waiting' doesn't mean much.

Ya if you have no medical problems I would wait too.

Yes, I have. Kidney stones. But, it is going to hurt anyway, baby in there or not.

Suck it up, buttercup. Would you induce if you had them at 20 weeks? Or get an abortion if you had them at 9 weeks? Just wondering.

Common sense would say no. Baby isn't near ready by then and no doctors would even consider that. But at 39 weeks with lung maturity? Makes sense. Kudos to you for your pain tolerance but not everyone can just "deal" with pain like that. For badasses like you, it could've been a breeze but for some people, the pain is excruciating. At least when the baby is out can do more about it.

I don't know about kidney stones, but most of the time with gallbladder problems, they will end up inducing you anyway because it's harmful to the baby and can cause stillbirth. (Bile acids)

That is the most dumb ass question i'v ever heard. And please tell me how at all that is relavant to my question. The fact of the matter is that I am 39 weeks with a healthy baby girl who is ready to face the world. You would be a dumbass to even consider inducing your baby at 20 weeks. Oh and I guarentee you havn't had kidney stones while you were pregnant. Try only having tylenol to get you through pain that has been said to be worse then actual child birth.

If she was ready to face the world, you would be in labor right now, stupid.

There are pain medications you can take, other than Tylenol, btw.

Oh ya my bad, they give you tylenol 3s:0 That don't do smurf btw. haha. Let me rephrase that 'my baby will survive because she's 39 weeks and is fully developed with matured lungs'. I could understand your animosity if I was trying to be induced at 36 weeks or something like that but your just ignorant and need to take your opinions somewhere else. I'm not going back and forth with somebody who has no idea wtf their talking about  Thanks!
