Too much?

So today around lunch time, SO tells me he is going out tonight. Tells me he wont be drinking much and he wont be home late, as his mates have work in the morning. He left at 4pm. It got to 11pm, and i was getting ready for bed, but thought id give him a call to see if he would be home within the hour, coz id wait up for him.
So I ring him, and straight away I can tell I have woken him up. I ask when is he coming home, his reply "Oh i dont think id be able to drive tonight hun" ummm serioulsy? I was so mad at him, I didnt say anything, and just hung up.
Then i thought "smurf this, this happens all the time" so i decided to send him a message.

Did I go too far?

nope, i would have been worse lol not trying to instigate just saying i would have said a lot worse

I'd have said the same thing. As for going too far, idk because I always go too far haha.

As soon as i sent it i was like "smurf, how do i stop it from sending" lol
But you know what....smurf it. He deserves to know how I feel. I put up with this at the least, 2 times a month.

I would tell him if he wanted to go out and have a good time he had to take his family out yo have a good time first or at least take you out for a night away from the kiddos .. just an idea

Argh and now he tries to give me the guilt trip.
Just got a reply saying, "i cant drive, il be on the next train"
Immediately I feel bad. I dont know why, but I just do.

Don't feel bad. Its his fault, he lied to you..

This happens every time. He will always somehow manage to turn it back around on me. Like tonight will be all my fault. My fault that we have to go pick up his car tomorrow. My fault he had a smurffy night now, coz i sent him that message.
I dont want to give into him like i always do. I want to stand my ground and let him no that Im not fine with it. Just because he is on a train right now on his way home, does not make it ok.
Hes great with his words, and i know in the end Im the one thats gunna feel like a smurf.

Just remember you did nothing wrong and he did. Just tell him you're not going to feel sorry for him and nothing was your fault because you are actually being a parent unlike him.
