name dilemma

in the case we re expecting our third boy, dh wants the name Elias
and i want the name Elliott.

to be honest i also like the name Elias BUT our other son s name is Eli.
imo both name are way too similar, and dh says the names are perfect for two brother.

what do you think?

Way too similar. Sounds like someone was trying too hard to name twins, know what I mean? Sticking with an 'E' name wouldn't be bad but being that similar makes it look like there wasn't much effort while name searching

Eli & Elliot aren't so bad because they don't sound too much alike but if your going to shorten Elliot into a nickname I wouldn't choose Elliot. You'd end up with an Eli & Ellie(once again sounding like twins, not just brothers)

I like both names, but I would use either since you already have an Eli. I like Ezra if you're trying to stick with an E name.

thank you, the name never crossed my mind, but I actually like it a lot

Def not elias way to much alike! Pretty sure eli is short elias! Elliott is ok i think ezra goes wonderfully with eli though! Good luck!
