I guess if she is the type to shirk responsibility all the time, you might want to consider a new custody battle. That is up to you though. IDK the reason she isn't taking him to school. There could be a legit reason and she is just lazy or can't miss work to meet with the teachers. Who knows. I would hate to assume the worst in someone I don't know. It could be that she is unfit and terrible.

I try my hardest to see the best in her but this knocks the air outta me. There is no proof that these absences are from doctors visits and if they are then why has my husband not been notify?
I think me may have to just file, but I feel like a total of almost 30 missed school days is excessive considering he has never needed any surgeries or had any major illnesses.

in that case I would report it. either way something is going on with her and she needs to be held accountable. Your step son is the one who is going to be on the loosing end if she doesnt step up and take his schooling seriously. I would at the very least report it. You and DH are clearly going to do whats best for him and that is how it should be. Good Luck!!!
