boys vs. girls ttc

Hi. Im samantha. Ill be ttc in April. I read about female and male sperm. that the males swim faster and the females live longer. what are your.thoughts? also... I do have a child. she was unexpected. now actually planning to have a child is a whole new ball game. how did you go about when starting to ttc? as in keeoing track of periods, opk's, temp taking, or just guessing? thanks!! :-)

it took us 10 months and 1 miscarriage but we used opk's and just had intercourse on the positive days. just when i had given up hope, boom, were pregnant with our little girl. its just a timing thing really, you must time before ovulation not on or after. but it should not take you long. we were ttc after 9 years of the mirena.

I've never been in.birth control. my husband and I just use the pull out method or condoms. so I'm not sure if.not using.birth.control.evrr would.affect chances.

you would probably have a better chance ttc. just make sure to bd on the days you get positive opk, it works. my girlfriend was pregnant the first month she did this.

(dont.know.the proper abbreviations) I'm on my period now... just started the third. when should I start testing for ovulation? right after I stop.. or later?

opk is ovulation prediction kit (get them from the dollar store they work great)

it really depends on your cycle but if you dont quite know how many days apart they are then start testing at about day 12. this is the 12th day from the beginning of your last period. test every day until the lines are equally dark or the test line is darker than the control line. when the lines are both the same darkness, then you start to try every day for the next 3 days beginning the first day you get your positive (2 dark lines). once you get one positive ovulation test you do not need to keep testing, save them for the next month. i have bought the really expensive ones all the way down to the dollar tree ones, they all work the same. so save your money and stock up on about 10 your first month. if you have anymore questions, i will be happy to answer them tomorrow. good luck

thanks!! I'm so excited to start!! I hope it happens quickly as we're having a wedding ceremony with all our family and friends next june. so I want to be abke to slim down before then! I'm hoping to have a baby by next march or alril.

make sure your using those home ovulation test kits every day until you detect your surge. once surge is detected then do the baby dance for 3 days, following this method it should be no time at all before your pregnant.
