Fever Help

When you check your Lo's fever aren't you supposses to add another degree?

Lo woke up to 38.5C and i converted it and it equals to 101.3
So wouldmt it be 102.3?

And how can i help reduce this fever? Lo is 9months old

I don't think you do that anymore. I know they used to say do that but I'm not sure, I never do.

Tylenol? My daughter just had a fever the other night.. She was burning up.. I put wet wash clothes on her to try to keep her cooled down, and I kept trying to give her water but she didn't want any.. If all of it fails, you could try a coolish bath.. Might not like it that much though..

You don't add a degree. I thought that too but I called the hospital and they said whatever the thermometer says is right. That's if your thermometer isn't broken haha. When my son has a high fever (102 F and up) I alternate tylenol and motrin. That should bring the fever down.
