WIC Formula

posted 6th Mar
I give the smurf up on breastfeeding.
Since I'm on WIC I figure it'll be best to get whatever formula they're going to give us, but I'm not sure if all WIC offices use the same formula? Or does the brand vary from region to region?

It varies state to state.

Here they give wic recipients similac unless another kind is prescribed by a doctor.

It varies but if your baby needs something different you can get a Rx from your pedi and then he can get whatever he needs

Will it bother her too badly to switch to whatever brand they give when I go in a week? I have some Similac here the hospital sent us home with yesterday that I can give her when I run out of pumped milk.

honestly, we started out getting the regular Enfamil, then we talked to them about it making DS sick, so they started him on Goodstart (the one that is easy on baby's tummy... can't remember what it was called...) I think you can request whatever formula you want to use.
