Repost: Change in poop consistency.

*I posted this earlier today but got 0 replies, so I'm trying again*

So I have a 2 1/2 year old and a 4 year old, they're both on the exact same schedule/routine, from what they eat to when they sleep. Even their poops are similar lol. They both eat the same thing, and will poop once a day. Lately my 2 1/2 year old has been pooping 3-4 times a day and it's not the usual poop he poops (little turds, if you want to know  ) it's extremely liquidy (not to the point that it's diarrhea) but it's all pasty and very soft and a it's lot. I haven't changed anything in their diet. They're eating the same thing, but my 4 year old is pooping "normal". This is like the 3rd day this has happened. He doesn't look sick or act sick, he's eating, playing etc etc

Any ideas as to what's going on?

With all that plus the smell. I'd take him to get looked at. Kids can be sick without symptoms. It sounds like an infection to me.

Ok, I'll call his pedi tomorrow and see if they have any of the same day slots open. Thank you!

Maybe call the dr and ask? A few days ago I called the dr because my sons poop was white (it started off a gray color, then went to white) and they had me take him to the ER because they thought he had a blockage. Turns out he was fine. The ER dr told me that kids poop can change all the time depending on what they eat. I also told them my other 2 kids eat the same things and none of them had anything they normally don't and they were fine, and I was told everyone bodies are different and will react differently. There are some days my sons poop is like what you described, and it smells like something crawled up his butt and died, while my other 2 are normal...and he was never sick...and vise versa with my other kids.

C diff was my first thought but isn't it usually accompanied by a lot of vomiting?

it's brown, like a dark brown but not so dark that it looks black.
