Delayed responding to LO cries?

posted 6th Mar
How old was your LO when you started to kinda respond later at their cries to help self soothing? Like they are fed, changed, burped, but just bored I guess? Crying to be held and for attention.

If they cry to be held, I hold them.
My kids are 16 months and 2.5 years and I'm still pretty quick to respond to their cries.

I was thinking that was a good age, not making them wait an hour but just like 5 or 10 minutes to see if they will stop or not

That's good, I just feel like I'm not one to constantly hold him when he cries when he's a little older. He's heavy now and squirmy lol I can't imagine 6 months down the road...

Oh I'm not saying YOU have to, lol. Just saying what I do.

I can definitely tell the different between when they're just being bratty and really want attention

Never. If they cry I go to them, regardless of what it's for. They are 6 and 2.

cry? never. unless I really cant get to them, like if I am changing one kid or feeding. My kids are 9 weeks and 20 months. Let them fuss a bit, id say around 6 months. by fuss i mean not a cry just like a whine because the toy didn't do what they wanted or something like that.
