Flying & Formula

posted 6th Mar
Just myself and my 4 month old will be flying next week, from Buffalo, NY to Charlotte, NC.

She only takes formula, and I've been thinking of what I should bring for the plane ride.

Originally I was going to just take a smaller can and make bottles as I needed them, but then when I was at the store I saw there were pre made bottles, and then a big pre made bottle.

She uses the playtex nurser drop-ins, so I'm thinking maybe buying the pre-made formula would be easier, especially since she'll be on my lap. I couldn't imagine making a bottle from scratch with her on my lap, crying, etc haha.

My first was breastfed when we flew when she was this age, so it's a whole different world for me this time!

So, what do you think would be easier, and any other tips?

TIA

No on the big bottle since it needs to be in the fridge after a while. But I'd do the premade 6or8oz bottles. Its just so much easier but has she had those before? My son couldnt eat any premade fromula because it hurt his tummy.

Ah, yeah thats true. They have a 6-pack of 8 oz bottles too. She's never had it before, but if it's the same brand and kind should it hurt her? Maybe I'll try giving her a couple before we leave..

My son can't do the pre-maid either but is fine with the powdered formula and it's the exact same kind of formula

Yep at least let her try them before, the last thing you want on a flight is a baby with and upset stomach!
