When did you child first start holding their bottle?

My son turns 4 months old in about a week and he already holds his own bottle!! With me right beside him of course! I caught a picture of him doing it while falling asleep lol! I was just wondering if this is the average age or if it usually takes a little longer? He's been doing it for a little while now but usually an almost empty bottle but this one had 7 oz in it lol! I just thought it was cute   Man I love him! I forgot to mention that it fell out of his mouth and he put it back in all by himself! Also right after this picture I took the bottle out of his mouth lol!

My first Son never did and he took a bottle till he was nearly 18 months old   I liked it though. Since I couldn't BF that was our way of bonding. I hope my newb never does either.

my lo is 6 months. he wants to hold it but cant quite manage it yet

Thats right around when mine started 4 months or so. But he acted lazy if I would hold him and wouldnt do it. Then at 8 months he didnt want me to hold him at all anymore unless hes going through a growth spurt and wants a bottle overnight.

He gets mad when I try to hold it when he's holding it lol! But I try to hold him and feed him as much as possible I love the cuddles <3

My 4 month old has started to hold his own bottle. DD was around 4 months old too.

6-7ish months for DD, LO started holding her's in the last couple weeks though, she'll be 5 months old Saturday.

My youngest is 8 months and doesn't yet:/

My 10 month old still doesn't! She can but she doesn't want to lol. If I take it out of her mouth to check how much she drank or something she'll grab it back and put it in her mouth but she won't keep holding it.

My son was around 4 or 4 1/2 months he takes the nuk bottles so I bought the nuk training cup and took the handles off of it and put them on the bottle he is so good at holding the handles and even tips it up which amazes me! We have even given him the cup with the sippy nipple instead of the bottle nipple and he will take it too. They grow so quick!!

Lol! He is using EvenFlo bottles and so far loves them! He does drop it sometimes but I don't expect him to be able to hold it really well for a little while I will only let him hold it if I'm right there! Idk if he'd drop it when he was full/choking. I can't wait until I can just give him the bottle and let him feed himself but I know I'm going to miss the cuddles  

DD never did, but she was using a straw sippy by 13 months. It's become a big deal now at 20 months because we're trying to move on to bigger and better cups and she still doesn't understand the tipping back to get water out ><

I breastfeed but when I did give the occasional bottle of pumped milk she started holding it by herself just shy of 4 months.
